the ensemble which premiered the commissioned piece, Celebration of Joy, on December 1, 2014.

Celebration of Joy was commissioned by the children of Joy Stowers for the Newton-Jasper Community Band. Carol Joy Stowers founded the band and was its director for 25 years. The premiere was at South Newton Jr./Sr. High School, where Mrs. Stowers was band director for 16 years.
